Bridge Engineer

We are hiring a Bridge Engineer and here are some requirements for a Bridge engineer:

  1. Education: A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is typically required. A master’s degree in structural engineering or a specialized bridge engineering program is often preferred.
  2. Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and construction methods specific to bridges is essential. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis software is also necessary such as MIDAS.
  3. Experience: At least 15 years previous experience in bridge design, analysis, and construction is highly desirable. This can include internships, co-op programs, or working on bridge projects during academic studies.
  4. Knowledge of Codes and Standards: Familiarity with local and international building codes, bridge design standards, and industry best practices is crucial. This includes understanding load requirements, material specifications, and safety regulations.
  5. Problem-solving Skills: Bridge engineers must be adept at identifying and resolving complex engineering challenges. They should have the ability to analyze structural problems, propose innovative solutions, and make sound engineering decisions.
  6. Communication Skills: Effective communication is vital in bridge engineering, as engineers often collaborate with architects, contractors, and government officials. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  7. Project Management: Bridge engineers should have at list 15 years experience in managing projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling. They must be able to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  8. Safety Focus: Bridge engineers must prioritize safety in all aspects of their work. They should have a thorough understanding of safety protocols and be able to design bridges that can withstand various environmental conditions and potential hazards.
  9. Continuous Learning: Keeping up with advancements in bridge engineering is crucial. Bridge engineers should have a passion for learning and staying updated on the latest technologies, materials, and design techniques.
  10. Professionalism: Bridge engineers should exhibit professionalism and integrity in their work. They should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Project Planner/Scheduler

  • Minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience using MS Project or Primavera P3 or P6 and MS Excel
  • Subject matter expertise using MS Project to manage an integrated master schedule and the supporting detailed schedules
  • Extremely proficient in MS Office
  • Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment
  • Creative and innovative with assignments. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities. Able to embrace and participate in change initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Resident Engineer

  • Have at least 15 years of experience on construction supervision of large infrastructure projects.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience using MS Project or Primavera P3 or P6 and MS Excel

  • Subject matter expertise using MS Project to manage an integrated master schedule and the supporting detailed schedules
  • Extremely proficient in MS Office
  • Superior interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills, including the ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment
  • Creative and innovative with assignments. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and handle sudden changes in priorities. Able to embrace and participate in change initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Have a minimum Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Masters degree being preferred.

Geotechnical Engineer:

  • Should have at least 15 years of both designs and practical experience in Geotechnical Engineering for large construction infrastructure projects.
  • Have good knowledge of Geotechnical Software such as Plaxis 2D & 3D, GEO5 and SHAFT.
  • Have minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering and Masters Degree being an advantage.

Materials/Pavement Engineer

  • Should have at least 15 years of both designs and practical experience in Geotechnical Engineering for large construction infrastructure projects.
  • Have a good knowledge of Pavement design and materials testing, asphalt concrete design and construction, be willing to work long hours on site.
  • Have a good practical experience on large infrastructural projects of Expressways or highways.
